Refunds & Returns Policy

MNE Waste Management (PTY) LTD

Thank you for shopping with MNE Waste Management.
Because we supply regulated medical waste products, VMMC kits, PPE, and specialised medical services, our refunds and returns process must comply with strict health and safety laws.

This policy outlines when refunds or returns may be accepted and under what conditions.


1. Non-Returnable Items (Strict Health & Safety Regulations)

For safety, compliance, and contamination risk, the following items are non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered:

  • Sharps bins (any size)

  • Biohazard boxes & medical waste containers

  • Red liners, medical waste bags

  • Used or opened PPE

  • VMMC kits (opened or unopened)

  • Any item intended for medical waste disposal or clinical use

  • Any item that has left our facility and may be compromised

These restrictions are required under South African medical waste regulations.


2. Refunds for Medical Waste Collection Services

Refunds for service-based products (e.g., waste collection) may be issued only if:

  • Service has not yet been scheduled or dispatched

  • Verification has not yet been approved

  • The service cannot be delivered due to an internal issue on our side

Once a collection has been scheduled, dispatched, or completed, refunds cannot be issued.


3. Incorrect or Damaged Items

If you received an incorrect or defective item:

  1. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  2. Email jeff@mnewaste.com with:

    • Order number

    • Photos of the item

    • Description of the issue

  3. Our team will investigate and arrange a replacement or credit where applicable

Note:
Damages caused by couriers must be claimed with the courier directly.
We will assist where possible, but we are not liable for courier mishandling.


4. Order Cancellations

4.1 Before Order Processing

If your order has not yet been processed or verified, we may issue a full refund.

4.2 After Processing Has Begun

Once an order enters verification or preparation:

  • A cancellation fee may apply

  • Special-order items (VMMC kits, bulk PPE, custom quantities) cannot be cancelled

4.3 During High-Volume Periods

Cancellations may not be possible once suppliers have confirmed stock allocation.


5. VMMC Kits — Refunds & Returns

Due to strict sterility requirements:

  • VMMC kits are non-returnable and non-refundable once ordered

  • Bulk orders (special manufacturing runs) cannot be cancelled

  • Refunds may be issued only if manufacturing has not yet started


6. PPE — Refunds & Returns

  • Opened, handled, or unsealed PPE is strictly non-returnable

  • Bulk PPE orders may not be refunded after supplier allocation

  • Faulty PPE may be replaced or credited upon inspection


7. Incorrect Address / Failed Delivery

Refunds cannot be issued for failed deliveries caused by:

  • Incorrect delivery details

  • Unavailable recipients

  • Inaccessible premises

  • Client failure to collect or receive the order

Re-delivery fees may apply.


8. Processing of Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within:

  • 5–10 business days

Depending on your bank, refunds may reflect sooner or later.
